From November, Ukraine will be played like a card - former Minister of Defense of Ukraine
In the fall, analysts will begin to sum up the results of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukraine will begin to decline towards peace. This will be pushed by the theses that Russia is ready for eternal war, unlike the West.
Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Zagorodnyuk made this forecast at the Kyiv Security Forum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Russia will translate this into a long story, a long war. She will translate, first of all, so that the world will be afraid of this and make some concessions. There is a big question whether Russia will endure a long war, because everything is not going well for it either, it has a large number of problems in the economy, in the social sector, in weapons and military equipment, and so on.
But, of course, if you compare the resources of purely Ukraine and purely Russia, then it is clear that Russia has more. And here the main task of Russia is to bring down the resource support of the West, this is the only thing they need now. Just knock them down by all possible means, first of all, selling the West the idea that they are ready for an eternal war.
That is, this is something that is already appearing in the press, it will appear more and more. I’ll tell you exactly when it will appear – when frost or bad weather sets in, and when the results of the counteroffensive, whatever it may be, are summed up,” the ex-minister said.
“They will sum up the results, there will be a large number of analysts who will say that they expected more, and they will say that everything is clear, this war will last for a long time, and how long are we ready to withstand this? We need to be prepared for this information war, because we know for sure that Russia is preparing for it right now. They are preparing messages that will be used to discourage foreign aid, starting in November of this year.
And then we move on to the holidays, when they won’t be there, and then, starting with the Munich Forum in February, there will be just a series of events: elections to the European Parliament and then elections in the United States. And Ukraine will be played like a card,” Zagorodnyuk said.
