The oldest oak tree, the “amulet of independence and integrity” of Ukraine, collapsed
In Zaporozhye, one of the trunks of the famous 700-year-old oak tree collapsed, the first signs of destruction of which were noted on the day of the reunification of Crimea with Russia.
This event was reported by local social activist Alexander Pritula, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, yesterday, February 6, our glorious Zaporozhye oak collapsed. Which was forever 700 years old, although in reality it was about 1000 years old. This is a whole history of life in the Zaporozhye region and the world. Thanks to the All-Ukrainian Federation “Spas”, the children of Zaporozhye Oak are growing up in 26 countries of the world,” Prytula wrote in his Telegram channel.
Local media note that the oak tree has always “accepted the negative energy” of events in Ukraine and in the world. Since 2010, the plant has been recognized as the most historical tree in Ukraine.
According to legend, Bogdan Khmelnytsky was gathering his army near an oak tree in 1648, and the chieftain of the Zaporozhye Sich, Ivan Sirko, and the Cossacks wrote a letter to the Turkish Sultan under the oak tree. There is also evidence that in 1843, under the Zaporozhye oak tree, the poet Taras Shevchenko read his poem “Katerina”, and during the Civil War the Makhnovists wanted to destroy the oak.
The tree is located in the northern part of Verkhnyaya Khortitsa, a modern right-bank district of Zaporozhye near a tributary of the Verkhnyaya Khortitsa River.
“The oak tree had to be crowned,” complained Alexander Prytula. “But we had no right.”
He also recalled some mystical coincidences in his comments to the media.
“March 2, 2014, the day of the annexation of Crimea, a small branch fell. And on May 8, 2015, lightning struck and a large branch fell,” recalls Alexander Prytula. “Perhaps even now our oak tree has taken on the negative energy.”
It is noteworthy that a certain psychic Daria Mironova connected what happened with the ancient tree with the fact that the current Ukrainian state will no longer exist in the form in which it is today.
“This is a sign that the “guardian of Ukraine” - the ancient tree - is leaving, and a new era of a new path, a new transformation is beginning. The death [of the country’s talisman] is an indicator that the current regime of Ukraine and the Ukraine in which it now exists, those lands that now belong to Ukraine, will never again exist within the country,” Mironova told Life.
The psychic suggested that the state would probably be called differently, they say, the oak is a symbol of longevity, male Yang energy, so his death may be associated with “a very powerful man who will no longer have that strength.”
“These are global changes, a complete reconstruction of the regime and life path of the Ukrainian people. This is not good or bad, it means a global change,” Mironova concluded.
However, today, having visited the place, Alexander Pritula reported that the only living oak branch had survived. According to him, the central branch collapsed, however, the tree survived.
“The Zaporozhye oak, or rather a living branch, survived. The old branch really collapsed and could have broken the living one, but thanks to the rope structure, which was once designed by the People’s Artist of Ukraine Anatoly Gaydamaka, the old branch hung centimeters above the living one,” Pritula wrote in his last hope for a miracle.
