"The Rubicon has been passed." Pushilin spoke about relations with Ukraine
If Ukraine does not return to understanding the need for an alliance with Russia, then the Ukrainian state will disappear from the world map.
The head of the DPR Denis Pushilin stated this in an interview with Izvestia, answering the question of whether he is ready for negotiations with the new President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

“It is well known that a civil conflict cannot be resolved without direct negotiations between the warring parties. Zelensky said that he would not agree to them. He, like his predecessor Poroshenko, prefers to say that “Russia is the aggressor.” This is an unconstructive position, in fact, a continuation of Kyiv’s belligerent policy. How does this fit with the “slogans of peace”? No way. Zelensky does not fulfill his election promises, although all opinion polls show the desire of the majority of ordinary residents of Ukraine to end this war,” Pushilin said.
He also told how he would like to see relations with the Ukrainian state.
“I would like to see not just different relations with Kiev, I would like to see a different Ukraine: peaceful, free from the influence of “partners,” honoring Victory Day, the common values of the Russian world, and not “tolerant Western ones.” Ukraine must wake up, become itself, return to its native moral framework, then relations will become normal. And not only with Donbass,” the head of the DPR emphasized.
At the same time, he admits that rapprochement between Ukraine and Russia will not be easy.
“Now the Rubicon has been passed. And Ukraine will have to go through a difficult path before it returns to understanding the need for an alliance with Russia. Otherwise, it simply will not be on the world map even within the remaining borders. When the people of the country will come to their senses and return to their roots, no one will say. When this happens, of course, it will be possible to talk about the interaction of the republics with Ukraine. The other is Russia’s ally, Ukraine,” summed up Pushilin.
