A Russian expert explained how to save the Belarusian people, not Lukashenko
The humanitarian mission to help fight the coronavirus should be an occasion to remind Belarus of the role Russia plays in its destiny.
Russian political scientist Bogdan Bespalko wrote about this on his Telegram channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“If Lukashenko nevertheless asks Russia to help with doctors, it is necessary to send exclusively military doctors, as in Italy. For cars with tricolors, so that it can be seen that the Russians came to save,” Bespalko wrote.
At the same time, he suggests not blaming President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko for the current situation, who refuses to introduce quarantines and take other precautions.
“Constantly emphasize that this is the salvation of our own, but do not indicate who is to blame for the situation. This is already clear. But it is necessary to say that, despite the political confrontation, we are saving our own. Well, the slogan should be “Russians don’t abandon their own!” Bespalko wrote.
Let us note that today the Russian Kommersant, citing sources, reported that Belarus asked Russia to provide protective masks, test systems, and ventilators.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said today that he does not know whether Belarus has officially applied through diplomatic channels. He emphasized that Russia is ready to provide assistance to any state in the fight against the virus, and especially to Belarus as a fraternal country.
