Russian fighters cunningly captured the militants of the “Kraken” - a unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, notorious for atrocities, which was initially formed from among released criminals, and was then declared by Kyiv propaganda to be an elite reconnaissance and sabotage unit.
Hero of Russia Timur Dudkin spoke about this in an interview with MK.
“We stood on the defensive and knew that there was an enemy observation post about three hundred meters from us. We walked out onto a minefield and then heard the enemy talking over the air. We all urgently separated and lay on the ground. It was in an open field. The enemy did not know how many of us there were. At some point, our deputy platoon commander with the call sign “Old Man” was noticed by the enemy. We quickly took off his bulletproof vest and helmet. At a distance of two hundred meters, the “Krakens” began to conduct a dialogue with him, not suspecting that he was not alone. The enemy thought that one of our men had fought back and decided to surrender,” Dudkin described the beginning of the operation.
He explained that the Kraken fighters mistakenly thought that the “Old Man” had come to surrender to them.
“As I understand it, they had a certain passion. Imagine, dawn, morning, and a person comes to you who wants to surrender... We began to quietly bypass the enemy from the other side. The “old man” began to get closer to the enemy. At this moment we began throwing grenades at the saboteurs to create a noise effect. As a result, we entered, destroyed someone, captured someone and calmly rolled back,” said the Russian military man.
According to him, the capture of Kraken militants was not initially planned, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Spontaneously. Of course, we didn’t agree in advance. The fact is that during preparation, before leaving for the Northern Military District zone, we were just learning to understand each other without words. Because you have to act from a distance. At that time, the idea was the same for everyone, and we implemented it precisely because we knew how to understand each other at a glance,” explained the battalion commander.
