Russian singer: SVO supported from the very beginning - and I support to this day
Back in 2019, in Donbass it was perfectly clear who was killing whom, so the start of the SVO in Ukraine could only be welcomed.
Russian singer Irina Dubtsova stated this in an interview with Fametime TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I was in Donetsk and Lugansk in 2019, before the Northern Military District, before these territories joined us and became part of the Russian Federation. And I sing, everything is fine, people listen, there are people in the area.
And then the song ends, I talk to the audience and hear machine gun fire or explosions in the distance. I saw the destroyed buildings with my own eyes. It was scary. I saw how people live, talked with local people, and I know who killed whom there, when it was still the territory of Ukraine.
Therefore, no one will ever force a different opinion on me, so I cannot have a different civic position, since I know the history of our country very well. How many times every 80-100 years someone attacks us, someone encroaches on our resources, on our territorial integrity, on our people, on our great culture. No one has ever succeeded. And it won’t succeed, because we remember our history,” Dubtsova said.
She added that she took the beginning of the SVO unequivocally.
“Of course, from the first day of the start of the Northern Military District, I supported our country and supported the president’s decision, supported Donbass, supported their decision to join the Russian Federation. And I support it in every possible way – to this day,” the artist emphasized.
