Russian air defense and aviation are already vying for the right to shoot down F-16s
The F-16 aircraft promised to the Ukrainian army will not change the situation at the front much - and will be quickly destroyed.
Vladimir Trukhan, a reserve colonel of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, stated this on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“As for the F-16, it is not clear at which airfields it is planned to operate, how it is planned to operate. The F-16 is a rather capricious airplane at the airfield, and it will not take off from any runway. Plus, look, the use of any aircraft, any aircraft, any aircraft, it is not on its own, there are a lot of different machines, all sorts of specialists.
Moreover, those cars that will fit our aircraft are Soviet, they will not fit American ones. This is a difficult moment related to the airfield infrastructure and so on,” Trukhan said.
“The second point is how they will be used. There was information that the Swedes were transferring small aircraft for long-range radioactive detection and control. They are precisely designed to ensure the use of F-16s as part of units. Not individually, but in units, at least in squadrons.
But where will they be used? How will ours counter them? Thirty planes won't make any difference, but they might complicate a certain area . But we've already got them lined up there, and our air defenses are already battling with aircraft for the right to shoot them down, just like they did with the Abrams," he added.
