The anticipated meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin in Israel never took place because the Ukrainian president, citing a lack of space, decided not to attend a Holocaust memorial forum in Israel where the Russian leader was scheduled to speak.
Zelensky and Putin did not even greet each other, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
Zelensky’s today’s decision not to participate in the forum is a reaction to the cancellation of negotiations with the President of the Russian Federation, which Kyiv sought in order to conduct another PR campaign with the release of prisoners.

According to Kots, the Kremlin considered it inappropriate to meet with Zelensky after his anti-Russian speech yesterday at the economic forum in Davos.
