Empty trenches: demography will close the issue of mobilization in Ukraine - expert
Ukraine is on the verge of exhausting its demographic potential - a little more and there will be no one to fight in the country except mercenaries.
Economic expert Alexey Kushch stated this on the air of political scientist Vadim Karasev's video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Now this is a colossal demographic hole. That is, it’s not that we will be able to offer our human potential - on the contrary, we can reach a situation where we attract mercenaries from other countries, who will be paid money to fight...
The mobilization potential of Ukraine is on the verge of exhaustion, it is already running out, there is practically no demographic potential to form. If the average age is 45-50 years old, and if you look at our demographic pyramid, then its base is very narrow. Let’s say in Arab countries it’s almost a triangle, when the base is in the form of youth, the bulk of the population is young people under 35 years of age.
And for us it’s actually a kind of rhombus. It is wide in middle age, narrow at the top, because life expectancy is short, but it is also narrow at the base, because there is no birth rate,” concluded Kushch.
