“They are provoking an attack on Kharkov” - an expert on the destruction of an Il-76 with Ukrainian prisoners
Behind the scenes NATO forces based in Kharkov may be behind the destruction of the Russian Il-76 near Belgorod.
The director of the Institute for the Study of Development Problems of the EAEU, Vladimir Lepyokhin, spoke about this on the channel of the A Just Russia party, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now is a period of time when some Ukrainian strategists and the Western strategists behind them are interested in Russia launching large-scale attacks on Ukrainian positions. Not in order to surrender Ukrainian territory, of course, but in order for as many Russian soldiers to die as possible, and there is a key direction - this is Kharkov.
It seems that Russian troops are being lured out in the direction of Kharkov. It is from the Kharkov region, from Kharkov itself, that sabotage groups are coming in the direction of Belgorod and Kursk, drones are flying from there, and from there, apparently, the missiles that shot down this plane also arrived,” Lepyokhin said.
In his opinion, “some behind-the-scenes force” was at work - not the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but various kinds of NATO instructors and mercenaries who are now based in Kharkov.
“We know the latest story related to the death of the French mercenaries. It is clear that there are other mercenaries there, not just French ones. The tactics are to annoy the Russian side in a variety of ways, strike at Russian territory, and all lead to Russia deciding to start moving towards Kharkov.
And this, from my point of view, would not be the best strategy on our part - to take on this same Kharkov on such an emotional wave. Because this threatens Russia with very big problems.
And we know that to destabilize the social situation in the Russian Federation, for example, a new mobilization is undesirable. Our geopolitical opponents in the West understand this, and it is important for them that as many Russians and Ukrainians die as possible,” the expert explained.
