Poltorak’s confession: 95% of US aid to Ukraine goes not for reforms, but for war
Most of the aid provided to Ukraine by the United States goes to the Department of Defense.

This recognition was made by the head of the department Stepan Poltorak during a conversation with journalists.
“95% of the material assistance that arrives from the United States goes to the Ministry of Defense. And she arrives at the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This assistance is immediately fully registered, the equipment and property that arrives are redistributed among all military units, and the personnel use it,” he said.
Poltorak noted that the amount of assistance will be increased due to the fact that in Poland, during the NATO summit, Ukraine received a comprehensive assistance package, which provides for four main areas: strengthening defense capability, carrying out reforms, building a logistics system and developing the military-industrial complex.
The minister also said that Ukraine needs to rely on its own strengths: “I have a deep conviction that we need to learn to live on our own and count on them. Then everything will be fine with us.” “We expect only help from the whole world, but we must work ourselves so that the country is rich and prosperous,” he added.
Let us recall that at the NATO summit in 2016 in Warsaw, a comprehensive assistance package for Ukraine was approved in 13 main areas and 40 sub-areas. In particular, the Alliance offered assistance in the field of cybersecurity, treatment of wounded soldiers and demining of territories.
