Former US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, who was in charge of Ukraine, “jumped out” in time and resigned. Her successor was either appointed by force, or he agreed himself due to the complete absence of any other prospects.
Bulgarian political scientist Plamen Paskov stated this on the Vyshka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I think one of the reasons is that she resigned now, and not by the end of the year, when the election results will be more or less clear, she wants to jump off in time from the moment when Trump comes not just to raise and put his long legs on desk in the Oval Office. But also, probably, to deal, and without anesthesia and painkillers, with that part of Biden’s team that provided him with a rather “non-boring” form of life, filled with acute unpleasant sensations.
The moment of revenge and personal reprisal absolutely cannot be ruled out, especially when they tell you: “nothing personal - it’s just business.”
Or, in addition to this motive, she sees that the line of conduct of the US state on the issue that she oversaw and dealt with has practically been exhausted, publicly announced since November-December last year, this is already more than obvious,” Paskov said.
At the same time, he said, the replacement of Nuland with American diplomat John Bass (pictured) indicates that big changes are coming not only in Ukraine, but also in many other points of influence of Washington. Given Bass's track record, the United States is preparing for "de-Americanization."
“I don’t envy this man just as much as I don’t envy Syrsky, who took over this position from Zaluzhny. Because the Kiev establishment is a battlefield between the American and British teams. This is a person who was either appointed without asking whether you want to do this, or he has few other options, and this is just the last attempt to break into some kind of career growth.
Although, after these two failures (Georgia, Turkey - ed. And also Afghanistan - ed.) - they put him there. Note - not an ambassador, it doesn’t even matter where, in Kyrgyzstan or Sierra Leone somewhere, but there. Well, in my opinion, it is quite obvious that by the end of this year we can expect from American foreign policy what we have been seeing for almost a year and a half, or even more - namely, de-Americanization.
America is carrying out de-Americanization along the external military, power contours of power, and this de-Americanization affects absolutely all the main old important, significant places,” the political scientist concluded.
