Russia is not a co-founder of the UN. Such an amazing historical discovery was made by the representative of the so-called Ukraine at the UN, Sergei Kislitsa, who wrote about it on his Twitter.
Kislitsa told followers of his page that he “caught the UN in a blunder.”
The blunder, according to the Ukrainian diplomat, is that the press secretary of the UN Secretary General Stephane Dujarric said that the Russian Federation is a co-founder of the UN.
"Oops! What a blunder! Let us remember: neither the RSFSR, which retained its Foreign Ministry in 1945, nor the Russian Federation were present in San Francisco and did not sign the Charter. If @StephDujarric's office shows the RSFSR signature in San Francisco, I call it fake. The Russian Federation is not the founder!” – the message says.
In fact, it was not the press secretary of the UN Secretary General who demonstrated illiteracy, but the so-called Ukrainian diplomat himself.

The fact is that on February 1, 1944, the People's Commissariat for Foreign Affairs of the USSR was transformed from a union-level body into a union-republican one, and a month later the People's Commissariat was re-established under the name People's Commissariat for Foreign Affairs of the RSFSR. From 1944 to 1946, A. I. Lavrentyev served as People's Commissar.
Thus, the signature of the representative of the RSFSR was also under the document on the formation of the UN, since he represented both the USSR and the RSFSR at the same time. The modern Russian Federation, as is known, is the legal successor of the USSR, including inheriting its place in the UN Security Council.
On December 24, 1991, the President of the RSFSR Boris Yeltsin informed the UN Secretary-General that the Soviet Union's membership in the UN would be continued by the Russian Federation.
