The alleged culprit of a fatal accident in Kharkov was arrested for two months without the right to post bail.
The Kiev District Court of Kharkov granted the request of the prosecutor's office to select a preventive measure in the form of detention for Elena Zaitseva, suspected of committing an accident in the center of Kharkov, in which five people died, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the press service of the court.

“The court chooses a preventive measure for a period of 60 days until December 16, 2017 inclusive,” said investigative judge Svetlana Muratova, adding that the court does not determine the possibility of an alternative preventive measure – bail.
At the same time, the judge noted that she considers the investigator’s request to choose a preventive measure justified.
In addition, the judge considers the existence of the risks indicated by the investigator to be established and proven.
“The court accepted ... the investigator’s petition to apply a preventive measure to Zaitseva in the form of detention to satisfy, to apply to Zaitseva a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 60 days until December 16, 2017 inclusive in the Kharkov penitentiary institution No. 27 without setting bail.” ,” the judge read out the final decision.
At the same time, Zaitseva herself does not object if the court temporarily prohibits her from driving, as the prosecutor’s office requests.
“The defense does not object to the prosecutors’ request (for a temporary ban on Zaitseva from driving – ed.),” said Zaitseva’s lawyer, Kozyr.
“I don’t mind,” Zaitseva repeated.
Earlier it became known that opiates were found in the body of Zaitseva, a suspect in an accident in Kharkov. Yesterday, the culprit of the accident in Kharkov was declared suspicious.
