Poroshenko “demoted” Kobzon
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko deprived singer and politician, native of Donbass Iosif Kobzon of all Ukrainian state awards for repeatedly visiting the DPR and helping civilians
The corresponding decree was published on Poroshenko's website, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Back in 2015, the SBU classified Kobzon as a cultural figure who threatens the national security of Ukraine; the singer was later included in the sanctions list.
Now the following sanctions have been applied to Kobzon:
1) blocking of assets - temporary restriction of a person’s right to use and dispose of property belonging to him;
2) preventing the withdrawal of capital outside Ukraine;
3) refusal to grant and cancel visas to residents of foreign countries, the use of other restrictions on entry into the territory of Ukraine;
4) deprivation of state awards of Ukraine and other forms of celebration;
5) other sanctions corresponding to the principles of their application established by the Law.
Donetsk journalist Sergei Makarenko commented on this decision of the Ukrainian government on his telegram channel.
“These bastards still won’t deprive Kobzon of the main award - Joseph Davydovich Hero of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the journalist wrote.
