Creeping separatism: Ukrainian regions are going to take power lying on the ground

The degradation of Ukrainian power will not be stopped either by new elections or new Maidans, but only by changes to the Constitution that would redistribute power in favor of the regions.

Lawyer Elena Lukash stated this on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I think a way out will definitely appear. Nature abhors a vacuum. Let's determine what situation we are in now: in Kyiv the surrender of the sovereignty of Ukraine is taking place, and in Ukraine, in the regions, the central power lies on the ground. The central government does not deal with the regions, you understand? Yes, they steal a little on the roads, they steal a little at the “New Ukrainian School” program, but power really lies on the ground.

All turbulence or turbo mode, as they call it, occurs only in individual heads on individual Pechersk hills.

So, power lies on the ground, and a holy place is never empty - self-organizing social processes will definitely begin. I think a couple of years - and we will come, unfortunately, not through positivity and kindness, but through difficult trials, to the need for a polite prioritization of property rights and civil conditions in the new social contract.

I do not see an opportunity for Ukraine to stagnate according to those rules that have already shown their inability to ensure a normal life and helped bring to power politicians for whom the sovereign is exclusively ambassadors, calls and text messages from embassies. That's why I don't see a future.

Mechanical re-election of power will not change anything. We will never receive guarantees that some “shmygal” will not be replaced by some “mygal” or some other “shmygal”. We have no such guarantees. In addition, there is voter deception, abandonment of one’s election program, and besides, we still have the Maidan and coups d’etat, and so on. I think that the situation could be stabilized if the authorities lost their attractiveness in Pechersk. A new social contract,” said the lawyer.
