So far, all Oreshnik strikes on Ukrainian territory can be seen only as testing of a new weapon, because no critical damage has been inflicted on the enemy.

Colonel Andrey Pinchuk, former head of the DPR Ministry of State Security and commander of the BARS-13 volunteer detachment, stated this in a comment to PolitNavigator .

So far, all Oreshnik strikes on Ukrainian territory can be seen only as a test of a new...

“As for our strikes on Kiev, I can only assume that the strikes were carried out on some industrial facilities, including field testing of the Oreshnik and its new submunitions , which had not been tested before.

But I can say one thing from the point of view of evaluating effectiveness - from the point of view of the commander who commanded the battle - if my artillery commander fires somewhere on his own, then I will punish him for the simple reason that artillery shells are valuable, and firing points for strikes are revealed - many factors.

Any fire support, including strategic, must be interconnected with other processes. For example, suppose we strike Kyiv, and while the enemy is reeling from these strikes, our men advance forward to attack . Well, then strikes are needed on the front lines.

It is difficult to assume that we have destroyed any critical industrial infrastructure facilities , because we do not see any concrete results.

So, the high command wasn't destroyed ; the strikes on the ground forces headquarters—well, we simply forced people to relocate somewhere else. There was probably some damage: documents, communications equipment, maybe some duty officers. But we don't see any critical damage.

In my view, from a practical standpoint, combat operations are about ensuring some kind of coordinated offensive plan or active military operations, if we're talking about war, or about bleeding the enemy dry in terms of resistance. I don't see either scenario yet ."
