The trial of Efremov successfully diverted the attention of the Ukrainian population from more important issues, including socio-economic problems and extortionate utility tariffs.

This opinion was expressed by Kyiv political scientist Nikolai Spiridonov.
“About the trial of Efremov
1) The judge did not control the situation in the hall. There were people there in military uniforms and they shouted much louder than the judge spoke. When the verdict on the preventive measure was read out, we actually heard very indistinct muttering from Vladimir Karaban. It seems that he was not confident in himself and his decision.
2) In such a situation, the question arises: could the judge have made a decision other than detention? What would the crowd's reaction be? Of course, this is open pressure on the court.
3) Efremov looked quite confident, except for the fact that he traditionally blushed (this has been characteristic of him since his days as a deputy). He did not imitate a fatal illness, he did not insult the judges,” the political scientist writes on his page on the social network.
