“A resident of Odessa, a resident of Kiev or a resident of Kharkov will now end up on an exchange in the DPR or LPR: no money, no documents. "Thank you for being alive".
A person with Russian documents will go home after the exchange, and a citizen of Ukraine will end up in the unrecognized republics like a newborn - a new reality and a new life. Moreover, far from home and with illusory hopes of getting to their hometown. Not the easiest fate,” explains Uralov in his blog.
In his opinion, now the main task is the adaptation of those released, their socialization in the LDPR “as quickly as possible.”
"I'm sure those who have been through Ukrainian prisons will adapt within six months to a year. Donbas is a hardworking region of open people. Donbas respects people of character," the political scientist writes, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the first stage, in his opinion, it is necessary to take patronage over the political prisoners who will be exchanged.
“There will be too many everyday inconveniences... Such people will need support - and personal, not charitable. Personally, I am ready to organize financial and organizational support for one or two comrades until they adapt,” says Uralov.
