Klimkin’s assistant fed the Ukrainians “satisfaction for aggression”
Ukraine supposedly still has a chance to receive compensation for “Russian aggression” and its “consequences” for the economy and the country.
Former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for European Integration Elena Zerkal stated this in an interview published on the official channel of NJSC Naftogaz, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Some publications write that we are talking about a package that we do not know about. The topic of gas agreements was combined with Donbass and the exchange of prisoners. Again, gas agents say: no, we can only discuss the gas component, the president also writes exclusively about gas.
What do you think is really behind these gas agreements? Could there be a political component?” – they asked the ex-official.
“I was most worried that in this political component there would not be a decision regarding Yanukovych’s three billion, since the process regarding this court is still ongoing, and now there should be a decision on cassation of the processes for a quick consideration of the case, and after that a decision will be made on how the case will be considered.
We were supported by the House of Appeal of the Three Lords; they stated that, indeed, Ukraine has no other chance to consider Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and its consequences except in the High Court of London.
Therefore, this reason, in connection with Ukraine’s failure to return three billion, can be considered in a London court.
And we still have a chance to actually receive satisfaction for the aggression of the Russian Federation and for the damage they caused to our economy and our country,” Zerkal assures.
Let us recall that the London court, which decided in favor of Russia on the Ukrainian national debt, only agreed to listen to Kyiv’s arguments about alleged “political pressure” on Yanukovych. The judges are not going to examine any “Russian aggression”.
