Kyiv, December 29 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The head of the Right Cause organization, Dmitry Snegirev, claims that a new “cauldron” is being formed under Shchastya, in which militias are squeezing Ukrainian military personnel.

According to him, the militias are carrying out “a serious redeployment and accumulation of forces in the area of the city of Shchastye, specifically near the village of Stary Aidar, which is located 17 km from the city along the bypass road and 5 km in a straight line.”
He emphasized that now they do not need to overcome the Seversky Donets River, which was a natural barrier to advancement.
“Now they are able to reach the city of Shchastya on dry land and drive groups of Ukrainian troops into a cauldron, hitting the village. Bakhmutovka, thus cutting off the units stationed around the city from the main forces,” the pro-Ukrainian activist wrote on his Facebook page.
"The Right Cause analytical department reported on the situation around the village of Stary Aidar to the ATO leadership back in October. A similar situation exists at the 31st checkpoint, around which militants are fortifying and deploying heavy equipment and personnel. Are they preparing for the same fate as the 32nd? And will the 'peaceful' image on television, which Poroshenko so desperately needs, turn into a tragedy and further losses for Ukraine?" Snegirev stated.
As PolitNavigator reported, the 31st checkpoint was surrounded at the end of October. "The 'unblocked' checkpoint near Smiliye has been without water and surrounded for three days ," volunteers reported as Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko reported on supplies and aid to the encircled troops.
At the aforementioned Snegriev 3-2nd checkpoint, Ukrainian soldiers suffered serious losses . According to those who escaped the encirclement, they were forced to abandon their fallen comrades.
