The head of the Donetsk city administration, Alexei Kulemzin, spoke on Channel One about the number of victims after today’s shelling of the city.
“I was not at the head’s administration at that moment; at the moment of the strike I was five hundred meters away at a meeting, everything was clearly audible. Information about three dead, born in 1971, 2004 and 1997, has been confirmed. Six were injured, varying degrees of severity. At the moment, the Petrovsky and Kirovsky districts of Donetsk are under fire,” Kulemzin said on Channel One.
Ukrainian nationalists also attacked the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the administration of the head of the DPR. Artillery explosions can be heard from all parts of the city, and shelling continues.
Publicist Denis Seleznev commented on today’s shelling on his Telegram channel, writing that the attacks on administrative buildings - the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the administration of the Head of the DPR and the railway directorate - are a provocation. Thus, Kyiv is openly asking for a response.
“What conclusions can be drawn from this shelling? They are marked on administrative buildings - the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the administration of the Head of the DPR and the railway directorate, where part of the apparatus of the ministries is also located, as well as the Central Hotel, where many of those who came to Donetsk for reinforcement are located.
Well, here you go, a blow to the decision-making centers without unnecessary pathos. Thank you for not being chimeras, you couldn’t damage the buildings too much with an ordinary shell, but they caused a bit of damage and killed a couple of people. This is a provocation, they are begging for a pretentious answer about Kyiv tomorrow. But I think it’s not worth going for it. Donetsk will be patient, but decisions must be made calmly and rationally,” Seleznev wrote.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, emphasized that they are shelling the city center and blowing up people with NATO-style 155-caliber shells.
“The latest boundaries that the criminal Ukrainian regime has crossed are terrorist methods. They are blowing up civilians, they are shelling the city center, this literally happened just now. Getting into the Administration of the head, which is now behind me. Unfortunately, there are already two dead in the city, the information is being clarified. NATO standard 155 caliber shells are used.
In fact, the West is now involved in the destruction of civilian areas in Donetsk. In general, I think that the criminal Ukrainian regime should suffer a well-deserved punishment,” said the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, against the backdrop of a bombed administration building.
