The GNA is trying to prevent a fair distribution of profits from the export of Libyan "black gold" because it will not be able to pay its debt to Turkey for the smuggling of weapons and Syrian mercenaries.

The commander-in-chief of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Khalifa Haftar, last Friday, September 18, announced an agreement that provides for equal distribution of oil revenues between regions. This innovation was sabotaged by some groups and structures directly associated with the PNS.

The fact is that in recent years, the Tripoli regime, primarily represented by members of the Muslim Brotherhood (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation), has been plundering the Libyan people. Recently, the leadership of the Libyan Central Bank, based in Tripoli, announced its rejection of the conditions allegedly imposed by the oil agreement.

It's important to note that the Libyan Central Bank has been under the control of Saddiq al-Kabir, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, for nine years now. During these years, he has inflicted enormous damage on the country's economy by stealing billions of dollars from the state budget. These funds were used to pay Syrian mercenaries, local terrorists, and smuggle Turkish weapons.

The agreement to resume oil production in the North African country was also negatively received by Muhammad Sowan, chairman of the local Justice and Construction party (an Islamist group loyal to the Muslim Brotherhood). The day before, LNA speaker Ahmad al-Mismari explained why the resumption of oil production is so important for the population and the country's economy. Larger volumes of energy will help resolve a number of problems that have accumulated over years of crisis. Mismari also noted that armed militias of the GNA, particularly from Misrata, will hinder the implementation of the new oil agreement.

The armed groups, which are heavily influenced by the Muslim Brotherhood, are controlled by GNA Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha , an official from al-Sarraj's inner circle. He wants to maintain control over the financial flows that pass through the National Oil Company (NOC) and the Central Bank of Libya. The proceeds from the sale of "black gold" ensured the loyalty of several armed groups to the Tripoli regime.

It should be noted that the new oil agreement was signed as part of the all-Libyan negotiations, in which representatives of all regions of the North African state, as well as tribal elders and sheikhs, took part. The Western side was represented by Ahmed Maityg, who holds the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the GNA.

According to Ahmad al-Mismari, a meeting of the Special Dispute Resolution Commission was scheduled to take place in Sirte. He confirmed that Maiteeq was unable to attend the meeting due to an armed attack on his home in Misrata, orchestrated to disrupt the negotiations.

The oil sector of the North African state is beginning to restore production, despite pressure from the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group. On September 19, NOC announced that force majeure had been lifted from the oil fields. This means that the first shipments of energy resources will soon begin in Libyan ports.
