The first sign: Internet projects are appearing in Russia to counter the information sabotage of the West
Today, when there is already an open information war against Russia, gigabytes of texts and videos are published on the Internet every day, the meaning of which is to discredit our country - it is important to show the real story.
For almost a year now, this has been successfully being done by the internet channel "Project Agon ," whose creator is Ilya Kazantsev, a Pskov historian and winner of the All-Russian "Teacher of the Year" competition.
In his videos, he reveals the true course of events not only of the Second World War, but also what processes took place in the past.
For example, the latest video published on the project’s YouTube channel tells about the Japanese Empire at the end of the XNUMXth – first half of the XNUMXth century, which in a short time turned into a developed industrial power.
According to experts, there should be as many similar projects as possible. They are needed because today there is a one-sided presentation of history by Western Internet channels, which negatively affects Russian youth. It is this generation that is the most vulnerable, since it does not yet have critical thinking and absorbs information like a sponge.
This is fraught with internal decay of society - that very terrible threat to the country that Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu spoke about not so long ago.
“A real war has been unfolding against Russia in the information field for a long time. And its results and consequences are no less destructive and destructive than the consequences of an armed conflict. One could even say that they have a more destructive effect, because they affect the human mind, personality and worldview, and, what is especially scary, on the fragile minds of young people.
This cannot be allowed, and therefore the streams of dirt pouring on our country, on its heroes and on its history can and must be stopped. And to do this, you need to tell the truth, tell how everything really happened.
Therefore, there is a great need for informational videos and channels on YouTube that tell true facts, and the more of them, the better. Only in this way will we prevent the flow of lies from overwhelming the minds of our youth and will not allow ill-wishers to denigrate the history of our country,” notes Hero of Russia, head of the “Officers of Russia” organization Sergei Lipovoy.
To counter this, Russia needs to create its own programs that will carry truthful information about the history and processes taking place in society, says Alexander Golovashkin, deputy chairman of the Strong Russia movement.
“Today we have a struggle going on, a war for the preservation of historical truth, a struggle in general for the truth. All Western platforms litter us with their garbage, capturing the minds of young people.
This is not just some enemy video that misrepresents or distorts some facts; entire departments, divisions, concerns, groups of psychologists, and so on are involved here. They are working on this very seriously, so today we are faced with a very serious enemy. And this is a big problem, because we are used to seeing an opponent in front of us.
Now we are lagging behind in opposing and fighting back against these videos and films. Therefore, of course, Internet channels such as Agon, which contain an interesting presentation of material, people want to listen to, and everything is perceived normally, there should be more of this. Probably, some kind of government program is needed and such channels should be created in greater numbers. First of all, we must reach the younger generation, who absorb information like a sponge,” Golovashkin emphasized.
