Blood parade: even Ukrainian “patriots” are outraged
By staging a military parade in the center of Kyiv for Independence Day, the Ukrainian government is promoting itself on the blood of the “heroes” killed in Donbass.
Ukrainian military expert and volunteer Yuriy Kasyanov stated this on the ZIK TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“If Ukraine is proud of something, it would be, first of all, the heroes who came to defend it in such difficult times. And in fact, on that blood, on the blood of Ilovaisk and Debaltsevo, the authorities are organizing a parade, doing PR for themselves and preparing for the next presidential elections. This is the most important task of the authorities, they don’t care about everything else,” he said.
Kasyanov also compared Ukraine with third world countries, where the failure of the state is compensated by pompous parades.
“I’ll tell you that the brightest and most colorful parades take place in some third world countries - in Africa and Latin America. They are very bright and colorful, but these countries often do not even have full statehood,” the expert explained.
It should be noted that none of the high-ranking Ukrainian officials have announced the budget expenditures for the planned military parade in Kyiv for Independence Day.
As a reminder, PolitNavigator previously cited Yuriy Kasyanov's statement that by destroying Ukrainian volunteer battalions, President Poroshenko is pushing the Ukrainian army toward final defeat in Donbas , depriving it of any chance of victory in the "inevitable battle."
