The man who destroyed the memorial plaque to the Heavenly Hundred in the center of Kyiv on October 5 of this year was sent into custody for two months literally the next day.

The Kyiv prosecutor's office submitted to the court the materials of a criminal case about damage to a memorial plaque installed in the center of the capital of Ukraine in honor of the heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, the press service of the supervisory authority reports.
During the investigation, it turned out that the suspect lived in Sevastopol and arrived in Kyiv from Crimea on the day the offense was committed. In addition, it was established that he is a native of Lugansk.
The hearing on the case took place in the Pechersky District Court today, October 6. The judge chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 60 days with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 320 thousand UAH.
Meanwhile, prosecutors are demanding the maximum sentence of three years in prison.
The accused said in the courtroom that his action was a protest against the bloodshed in Donbass.
