According to the executive director of the Lvov branch of the “Committee of Voters of Ukraine” Oksana Dashchakovskaya, the recount was undertaken due to damage to the packages in which the ballots were transported.
“This happened for objective reasons,” Express quotes Dashchakovskaya. “They tore because they couldn’t accommodate the ballots for Poroshenko.”
The KIA noted that although this is a formality, however, according to the law, the district election commission was forced to order a recount of the votes.
As reported by the CEC, 62,07% of the protocols have been processed so far. In the Lviv region, 70,02% of voters voted for Poroshenko.
In Lviv Oblast , ballot packages couldn't hold up to votes for Poroshenko, according to the KIU.
