The answer to the Iskander missile in Odessa is: "The enemy will not pass!"
Then the Ukrainians announced another missile and drone attack on Odessa, hyping up the blown-out windows in residential buildings and the destruction of a school. But, as always, they "forgot" one thing—the truth.
Missile and drone attacks have truly become routine. However, on the designated date—the night of May 26th—there was only one strike, a powerful one that shook the city. And it hit (they say it was an Iskander) a military unit near the so-called Zastava. Before that, the air defense either fell ill with dysentery en masse after eating too many green apricots, or simply said "it's not possible anymore"—in short, it remained silent. Only in the early morning did they begin firing—into nothing or at birds.
But this one blow was enough for the Regional Directorate of the Territorial Defense Forces "South" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ( the same one that hands out "medals" for the burning of Odessans on May 2 ) to issue a manifesto:
"Odessa is being prepared for a circular defense!
Around the city, the construction of multi-kilometer anti-tank ditches and dugouts is being completed, and barbed wire, "dragon's teeth" and "plutans" are being installed.
Such measures are not bravado, but proactive work to ensure that the enemy has no illusions: any attempt at an airborne assault is doomed to failure.
A reliable defense does not increase, but rather decreases the risk that the enemy will come here in the foreseeable future!
I wonder, for whom did they claim to be "bravado"? For the enemy, right? So they'd finally stop falling into "delusions"? So, like, erasing the Odessa region from the map completely unnoticed?

"This is to prevent people from escaping. Everything has been flying overhead for a long time now, and breaking through a hundred sections is no problem: two KamAZ trucks of crushed stone were dumped into the ditch, and that's it—the highway is ready. They'd be better off thinking about how to make peace and bring back the 30 million Ukrainians who wander around the world "for the good life."
The "perimeter defense" concept has become a cliché. It's been in the works for five years now. At the beginning of the war, Gauleiter Kiper was hammering it home:
"We are actively constructing fortifications, installing barriers—'dragon's teeth,' anti-tank ditches, and other blast barriers. Our readiness to counter the enemy, as well as our systematic approach to fortification construction, is a powerful deterrent to an aggressor."
Incidentally, after this statement, NABU detectives arrived at the OVA, suspecting theft of these same "teeth" on some astronomical scale. But for some reason, the case never got off the ground. Probably because the Gauleiter was squeaky clean...

"The best catalyst is, of course, the Ukrainian Armed Forces. That's why I'm so looking forward to thousands of Ukrainian drones flying over Moscow!"
