Left without work, Ukrainians are starting to take up arms
The Kharkov shooter, who attacked the city hall building a couple of days ago, could have been prompted to do this act by his recent dismissal and a quarrel with his wife.
Anton Gerashchenko, a member of the board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, announced this on air on TV channel 112, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the politician, before coming to the mayor's office, the armed criminal quarreled with his wife and shot her, and before that he lost his job and was dependent for several months.

“There was a family conflict, a man in a mental disorder first shot his wife, then decided to end his life in such a loud way. Taking the life of a man and injuring another... The man, apparently, was in a serious mental state. According to available information, he lost his job in May; he worked at one of the service stations in Kharkov, and his wife threatened him, possibly with divorce. From what we understand, there was a family scandal, as a result of which he shot his wife,” Gerashchenko said.
As a reminder, on the night of August 20, an unknown individual broke into the Kharkiv city council building, wounded three security guards, and shot dead a police officer.
PolitNavigator previously reported that the so-called "MVD reform" and the exodus of experienced personnel from Kharkiv's law enforcement agencies led to the city losing its former reputation as a "cop hotspot." Incidentally, the current Minister of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, hails from Kharkiv.
Speaking about mental disorders in Ukraine, journalist Elena Boyko, who was forced to leave the country, noted that after each rotation or demobilization, the country's psychiatric hospitals become overcrowded with Ukrainian soldiers returning from the front.
