Odessa, March 03 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Deputies of the Odessa Regional Council, where the majority are representatives of the Party of Regions, on the third attempt approved a statement with a clause stating the inadmissibility of introducing any foreign troops into the territory of Ukraine. The two previous votes were inconclusive - the required number of votes in favor was not enough, Dumskaya reports.

One of the authors of the resolution, Alexey Goncharenko, tried to leave the regional council building. But pro-Russian “protesters blocked the deputy, and amid shouts of “Prostitute,” he returned to the hall,” journalist Artem Buzila said on his social network page.

Goncharenko was offended - he said that the people at the Regional State Administration building are a handful of crazy people and paid mercenaries from Russia, Timer clarifies.

According to Buzila, a Right Sector activist was captured near the regional council and then beaten by protesters. Particularly radical ones shouted “For Berkut” and demanded physical violence.

After the protesters learned about the results of the voting of the deputies, they decided not to let the people’s representatives out into the street.

Some of the demonstrators stormed the building. The flag of Ukraine was lowered from the flagpole of the regional council and the Russian tricolor was raised. The man who tried to prevent this was beaten.

“Right Sector” has already announced mobilization in Odessa. Now Ukrainian activists are flocking to the scene of events.
