This was stated by Deputy Minister of Social Policy Valeriy Yaroshenko after the conclusion of a roundtable meeting on the topic “The abolition of the existing licensing system is a threat of job loss for 80,000 Ukrainian sailors,” Korrespondent reports.
“The situation on the labor market remains extremely difficult. Almost one and a half million jobs were lost over the past year. We have a terrible situation in the East,” Yaroshenko said.
At the same time, the crisis in the economy also affected employment.
“There is another component here - the extremely difficult state of the economy. Jobs are always created by the economy, investment and business. The employment center does not create jobs. He can provide assistance, retrain or retrain the unemployed. Only with the improvement of the economic situation in the country and with the arrival of investments will we be able to achieve positive changes in the labor market,” summed up the Deputy Minister.
