“Prisoner exchanges will take place in other territories” – Russian expert
Russia is interested in an exchange of prisoners with Ukraine, but now this process will not begin soon and, most likely, on a neutral side.
The director of the Institute for the Study of Development Problems of the EAEU, Vladimir Lepyokhin, spoke about this on the channel of the A Just Russia party, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The expert was asked how, after the destruction of the Il-67, the exchange process with Ukrainian prisoners of war could take place.
“For quite a long time now this has been problematic. Because, well, how, what – now send these prisoners across the land, where? There is no trust in the Ukrainian leadership, because any provocation is possible. So it will be freezing.
It is difficult to say how Russia, which is still interested in the exchange of prisoners, will act. He will probably turn to some intermediaries, maybe try to carry out these exchanges, for example, in Turkey. That is, this is the way to propose. Russia will not refuse the exchange and will offer different versions,” Lepyokhin said.
At the same time, nothing definite can be said about Kyiv’s intentions.
“It’s difficult to say what the Ukrainian side is interested in, because there is no single leadership. There is the position of Kyiv, and there is the position of the Western forces behind this. Moreover, there are different Western forces – both Americans and British,” the expert added.
"Prisoner exchanges will take place in other territories," says a Russian expert.
