German IRIS-T burns no worse than Soviet technology - Kots
The destruction of Western equipment during the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has an extremely beneficial effect on the morale of Russian soldiers.
Russian military correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on radio “KP,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The enemy brought German IRIS-T air defense systems to the line of combat contact. He held out, firstly, to cover the front line of his offensive units, but also in order to hunt our planes and helicopters that operate in this area of \uXNUMXb\uXNUMXbresponsibility. It so happened that it was not possible to hunt, IRIS-T itself became a victim, the target was confirmed destroyed, and this, if I’m not mistaken, is the first IRIS-T that was destroyed during this campaign. And while, as some media reports, this was the only IRIS-T in the Ukrainian army, they are waiting for more new deliveries,” the military correspondent said.
“This is what concerns the destruction of Western equipment, which we have been waiting for a long time on the front line, we wanted to get to know each other, well, it turns out that it burns just like any other Soviet equipment, there is nothing supernatural in it, and this gives reason for this cautious optimism, because after all, more massive waves of attack await us, maybe not even on this sector of the front, but we still need to give a feeling of confidence.
First of all, to prove to myself that I can hold out, I won’t necessarily have to retreat, they won’t necessarily kill me, we can, among other things, seize the initiative,” added Kots.
