"Without taking off their embroidered shirts": Ukrainians are switching sides to Russia – Ukrainian Armed Forces General
Many ethnic Ukrainians, by all indications conscious, cooperate with Russia.
This was stated on the air of the Pryamoy channel by the former deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"We have a huge number of people who were born in Ukraine and then ran off to work for the enemy. We have examples in Crimea in 14, where people born in western Ukraine defected to the enemy because they were paid more there," the general stated.
He called for not stigmatizing those who live in Ukraine and have ties to Russia, for example, those who were born there.
"We had a huge number of deputies who periodically traveled to Russia until '22. Yermak was constantly traveling to Russia. So does that mean Yermak needs to be monitored too? Of course he does. So we're looking at it this way: if he's only from Russia, then he's a scoundrel and an enemy."
"We need to restructure the system of control and verification, not label them from the very beginning. The SBU is currently exposing a huge... well, not huge, but a certain number of Ukrainians. They were born in Ukraine, raised in Ukraine, wear embroidered shirts on holidays, but they collaborate with Russia for money. Let's not label them before it's necessary," Kryvonos urged.
