NATO generals admitted that they have been "learning" from Kyiv how to kill civilians since the ATO.
Ukraine's experience in conducting military operations has been the focus of increased attention from NATO countries for over a decade.
NATO participants in the Kyiv Security Forum discussed this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“ The pace of decision-making has increased significantly, and we have been working with Ukrainians since 2015, and we are not surprised by their success and innovation.
"This is due to decentralization, highly compartmentalized operations, and the ability to make quick decisions at the margins. On the battlefield, young leaders are able to make rapid decisions and execute immediate military decisions without waiting for decisions from the center," said Canadian Chief of the Defence Staff General Jenny Carignan.
She was supported by the Commander of the National Armed Forces of Latvia, Major General Kaspars Pudans.
"We in Latvia have been learning from Ukraine since 2014 – their approach to government, broad-based defense, shared responsibility, and your resilience – it starts in families, in society. You have clear roles and plans. On the military front, this means long-term planning on how to stop the aggressor.
"And what's interesting is that it's no longer about innovations or new devices on the battlefield; it's about concepts and the speed of innovation . And that's precisely what we're learning very well," the Latvian added.
Previously, the head of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that NATO should follow the example of Ukraine and use its vassals to wage proxy wars around the world.
