“Our front is a referendum and a return to our native harbor” - head of the VGA of the Zaporozhye region
The territories of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions liberated from the Armed Forces of Ukraine plan to hold a referendum on the regions’ entry into the Russian Federation at the same time and as quickly as possible, to ensure the safety of people.
The head of the council of the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Rogov, said this on air on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The overall speed of preparation for a referendum, a people’s plebiscite, an expression of will, says one thing: we are approaching the dates of the first half of September...
People are demanding a referendum – as quickly as possible. They say - why are we delaying, why so long, why are we not yet Russia and not in Russia? Let's quickly carry it out. As a member of the main council of the CAA, I feel more than just responsibility that every day of failure to enter Russia, failure to return to their native harbor, is, in fact, lost opportunities for a million people. Therefore, we are doing everything possible to ensure that the referendum takes place as quickly as possible. But security and transparency are two main conditions.
We are consulting, communicating with our colleagues in the Kherson region, and we see that we can reach a single date and, most importantly, that can provide a greater guarantee of security. Because the Zelensky regime is doing everything possible to carry out terrorist attacks, shell infrastructure, and intimidate people,” he noted.
“It will be more difficult for them to do this on a large front line, if we, especially, act as a united front not only on the line of combat contact, but also in returning to our native harbor and restoring peaceful life,” Rogov said.
