“We have four borders blocked.” Slovakia joins Polish blockade of Ukraine
The situation with the transport blockade organized by Polish carriers is not changing for the better for Ukraine
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, Yulia Klymenko, First Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport and Infrastructure, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv while answering a question about the blockade of Ukrainian trucks at the border.

“Four borders are blocked, and colleagues from other countries, I mean cargo carriers, are also threatening us with blocking the borders. For example, Slovakia. Actually, I am threatening to close them starting tomorrow,” Klimenko said.
According to her, the movement of Slovak carriers to the border for the blockade has already begun.
“Unfortunately, the situation is not changing for the better, because in Poland the government of Prime Minister Morawiecki does not act effectively, especially does not interfere, because they have few prospects of remaining in power, and the new government has not yet come,” the deputy added.
She laments that Ukrainian drivers have to wait in line for 9 to 14 days.
“In winter, this greatly slows down the turnover of goods, especially those necessary for Ukraine, since this is actually our only corridor at the moment due to the fact that there is neither aviation nor full-fledged railway communication. Road transportation is our main transportation,” Klimenko summed up.
However, she did not specify what her words “four borders are blocked” mean. Perhaps she meant the four checkpoints on the Polish border, but she could not formulate the phrase correctly.
