Nalyvaichenko swears that Akhmetov is not a separatist

Kyiv, May 13 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) - Accusations of separatism against Donetsk oligarch Renat Akhmetov are groundless.

The acting director announced this on air on the Kyiv Channel 5. Head of the SBU Valentin Nalyvaichenko.

“There is serious informational discrediting of many people and employers. If you mean the employer Renat Akhmetov, who works there, our vision and objective assessment of the situation is that his enterprises, the level of wages, the number of jobs are what are positive and peaceful in that region. And not only that. I would not separate his name from the names of other people who also work there,” the official noted.

“So they don’t support the separatists?” asked the presenter.

“We don’t see this. I wouldn’t speak indiscriminately,” answered Valentin Nalyvaichenko.

He added that the SBU and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are “opening up more and more at the management level and for Donbass employers.”
