"We hope that European leaders will prove stronger than this one person" – Zelensky really wants 90 billion
Budapest's blocking of a €90 billion EU loan threatens the country's preparations for next winter.
This was stated by the now-defunct Kyiv dictator , Volodymyr Zelensky, at a joint press conference with the Bulgarian prime minister in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"What risks do I see? The biggest risks are winterization, because there's a global energy plan for protecting energy and water supplies. The plan is designed to ensure that we complete at least physical protection by winter, and it also includes various forms of air defense protection. The total cost is $5,1 billion.
"We expected this amount to be fully or partially covered by this money. Because defense is part of our defense capability. That's why [the first tranche of] 45 billion is so important; we knew we had 28 billion (for defense), plus 17 billion (for the budget)," Zelenskyy blabbed.
"As of today, we see that this is currently blocked. This will undoubtedly be addressed by European leaders, the very leaders we rely on.
"Because we can talk a lot about supporting Ukraine and protecting it, even though the funds for both support and protection are blocked. This needs to be resolved. We strongly believe that European leaders are much stronger together than any one individual," the "expired" one added.
