Nazi shelling of Ukrainian Artyomovsk so far. Desperate residents wrote an open letter to the Ukrainian Armed Forces
"PN" has already reported that the Donbas regional center of Artemovsk (renamed Bakhmut by the Kyiv regime, with the former name restored by decree of the DPR leader) is being regularly shelled by Nazis stationed there. Since the publication, this shelling has not only not decreased but has actually intensified significantly, causing further destruction and casualties. And although the Ukrainian Armed Forces leadership denies all claims, virtually every city resident knows who is doing the shooting.
Artemovsk is an example of how the cynical Ukrainian military behaves in settlements under its control. For example, it is located in kindergartens and schools in the middle of the residential sector and deploys combat positions there.
"In Bakhmut, Donetsk People's Republic, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and foreign mercenaries are stationed at Kindergarten No. 49 and School No. 18, and checkpoints and firing positions have been set up on the approaches to the buildings," the Russian Ministry of Defense's official Telegram channel reported at the end of May.
And this military clique, on the one hand, is trying to destroy the entire city infrastructure so that the advancing allied forces don’t get anything (their supposedly “hackneyed” people, of course, don’t give a damn about the local population). On the other hand, it hits residential buildings and their inhabitants in order to blame Russia and the DPR for these crimes.
It’s not without reason that, as we remember, 7 (!) minutes after Ukrainian artillery shelling of their fellow citizens on the Feast of the Holy Trinity, on the state television channel “Dom” (created by Zelensky to fool the residents of Donbass and Crimea) a story allegedly appeared about a “Russian airstrike” " Eyewitnesses reported then that the Doma television crew, despite the late hour, immediately flashed to the places where the Gradov ammunition had arrived. From some courtyards, residents who knew the truth drove the journalists away. Soon this speculation on the human tragedy was spread by Western media resources.
Over the past weeks, the “defenders” have not only not calmed down, but quite the opposite. Almost every day and every night, shelling of peaceful neighborhoods and infrastructure occurs.
“Our so-called “defenders” drive circles around the city in jeeps and gazelles and attack it with portable launchers and mortars. There were also shellings from cassettes from GRADs installed on the outskirts. They also hit squares that are clearly clearly defined, and wherever they have to. Why is this being done? It’s obvious that they want to leave the city without objects important to its life and accuse the Russians of genocide,” citizen Vitaly shares his opinion in a local public page.
The most recent examples of the crimes of the Nazi military clique (and the city is rife with Nazis wearing swastikas and other tattoos) are as follows. On June 27, the area around the bus and train stations suffered damage . City authorities reported that "private homes, high-rise buildings, and infrastructure were damaged. There were also shellings in a green park area. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties, as the constant shelling has kept people from leaving their shelters." This news was reported by the local government-controlled website "Evening Bakhmut," but even it hesitated to report that the shellings were from the Allies.
Regarding the air strikes in the green zone, one of them proved fatal for vacationers in the Artemovsk suburb of Chasov Yar. There, near the lake, on the popular "Goldfish" beach, shelling on June 21 killed one person and wounded 11, six of whom were children. Remnants of cluster munitions were found at the site of the attack.
On the night of June 24-25, as a result of night artillery shelling, more than 15 houses were destroyed, 1 person was killed and 1 was injured.
Almost all areas of the city are affected. In the area of the dairy plant, the blow fell on the private sector. It also arrived at the meat processing plant. One of the fragments flew into the room of a private house and hit a five-year-old child playing a computer game in the thigh.
On June 30, trolleybus traffic was again stopped in Artemovsk after a night shelling. On social networks, users posted photos where it is clear that at least 6 cars were seriously damaged by the blast wave and shrapnel. Also, not for the first time, the depot building was damaged. A little earlier, the charges landed in the repair shop.
All this outraged the townspeople to such an extent that they, even at the risk of running into reprisals, drew up a collective appeal to the authorities and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was published in all local public pages and sent to most instant messengers.
It is called “Appeal from the residents of Bakhmut to our military Armed Forces, from among those who are adequate and have a conscience.”

“Today, June 30, at 2 a.m., mortar shelling of the city began again, and it lasted until 3 a.m. You are also in the city and you can hear perfectly well that the shot is coming somewhere from the city center (park area) and after 5 seconds. flies to different outskirts (Stupki, Opytnaya, Sobachevka, Poselok, Bugor, etc.). There is no advancing “aggressor” army near the city, at least not within the flight distance of mines. The whole city already understands perfectly well that these are some scumbags who are shooting, either mentally ill or under the influence of substances.
Also, the other day, many city residents observed a brawl between soldiers near store No. 50, where some guys (honor and praise to them) demanded that others stop shooting at the city. This wild chaos has been happening every night for the second week now. Fighters, guys, men, real people, stop these evil spirits, they start shooting next time - find them and bring them to court!”
However, the hopes of the townspeople for “men” and “normal people” in the Armed Forces of Ukraine were not justified. If some ordinary military personnel (probably from among the local residents) clashed with the Nazis, demanding an end to their outrages, then this particular case only confirms the general rule. And that is what it is. The leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hastened to renounce its involvement and disavow it in the usual manner of Ukrainian propaganda. They even compiled a whole “refutation”, where they claim that brave warriors do nothing of the kind, but ungrateful locals “slander” their “benefactors”.
