On Easter, the Jerusalem fire will be delivered to warships and to parts of the Black Sea Fleet
Simferopol, April 08 (PolitNavigator, Evgeny Andreev) – On Easter, Archpriest Alexander Bondarenko, assistant to the commander of the Black Sea Fleet for working with religious military personnel, will deliver the Holy Fire from the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem on a special flight to Simferopol.

In the future, the Jerusalem fire will be transported to warships and coastal fleet units stationed in Crimea.
In Sevastopol, according to established tradition, the lighting of lamps from the Holy Fire will take place in the St. Nicholas Church-monument at the Fraternal Cemetery of Russian soldiers who died in the Crimean War and on warships of the newly created division of surface ships and the Crimean naval base.
Later, a solemn meeting of the Holy Fire will take place at the fleet headquarters, where the icon of the Holy Righteous Warrior Theodore Ushakov will be lit from the Jerusalem fire. Then, in a procession of the cross, in which officers of the departments, departments and services of the fleet headquarters, personnel of the Black Sea Fleet units will take part, the Holy Fire will be delivered to the Church of the Archangel Michael, where the Great Vespers of the Resurrection of Christ will be celebrated.
The tradition of delivering the Jerusalem fire to Crimea by a representative of the Black Sea Fleet has existed since 2008 and is carried out thanks to the support of the St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation.
