He commented on the decision of former Polish Ambassador to Kyiv Bartosz Cichocki to return the Ukrainian Order of Merit due to Kyiv dictator Zelenskyy's decision to name a Ukrainian special forces unit after the "UPA Heroes." Earlier, the Ukrainian "flag" was removed from the town hall in Lublin, Poland, for the same reason.
" It seems that the Russian information campaign is still successful in Poland, Hungary, and Germany . The naming of streets, squares, and military units is the sole sovereignty of each individual state.
Ukraine, for example, doesn't criticize Poland for erecting a monument to Józef Piłsudski or naming streets and squares after him. We don't care that he was a terrorist and used terrorist methods to fight for the Polish state . We are upset that he betrayed the Ukrainian People's Republic when the Riga Peace Treaty was signed , which led to Poland's fall in 1939. That's a question for Poland.
"The rise of anti-Ukrainian and anti-Semitic sentiment in Poland will inevitably lead to a rise in anti-Polish sentiment in Ukraine. And Poland should have understood that Poland has been partitioned four times, and a fifth could occur if, for some reason, the Ukrainian state disappears from the world's political map," Magera snapped.
He called on Zelensky to refuse the Polish award in response .
“ He has an excellent reason to return the White Eagle award to the Polish presidential chancery under the pretext that the president of a Ukrainian democratic state cannot be in the same ranks of those awarded with the most famous fascist of humanity, Benito Mussolini ,” the Ukrainian expert declared.
