“Blink if you’re being held hostage”: Pro-Western Makei trashes the EU
Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei, known for his pro-Western views, miraculously retained his post, is now forced to sharply criticize the European Union.
Today, in front of journalists, he announced Belarus's symmetrical response to possible EU sanctions, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We are ready for this. There will also be personal sanctions against various European Union structures, as well as representatives of individual EU countries. We have a draft list ready. We will be ready to launch it immediately after the relevant EU decision. The Belarusian state will take appropriate steps related to the internal political functioning of states. This may concern the political system, the functioning of foreign media accredited in Belarus, and a number of other steps,” Makei said.
He called the EU statements “destructive and destructive”
“It’s a paradox: while declaring that they intend to support the sovereignty and independence of Belarus, they, in fact, undermine them. I hope that common sense will prevail and all parties will show prudence. First of all, our partners, who accuse Belarus of all mortal sins, without even bothering to understand what is happening,” Makei said with a sigh.
