“Peaceful” Kyiv: uncleared checkpoints, explosions, fires and anticipation of the “Iron Dome”
Many Kyiv streets remain dug up. Here and there there are parapets, trenches, trenches and large piles of uprooted earth. Concrete beams lie nearby, moved to the sides from the roadway. These are checkpoints hastily erected in the first weeks of hostilities.
Some of them have now been completely dismantled - mainly those that were piled up from scrap materials: garbage cans, benches, boards, etc. The booths, riveted from plywood panels, where the Teroboron fighters hid from the rain and wind and at the same time patriotically drank, despite the prohibition law and curfew, were also dismantled.
At the former checkpoints there are also raised barriers and stop signs, as well as withered posters and homemade boards. They contain instructions for motorists on how to behave when approaching the checkpoint: stop, lower the windows, turn on the interior lights and prepare documents.
Nothing has been written about the need to be able to pronounce the word “palyanytsya” correctly, but SUGS, phrases about a Russian ship and obscenities addressed to Putin are present everywhere. All these ideological instruments—dirty, rusty tins decorated with tarnish and cracked plywood—look like unnecessary rubbish.
But no, this propaganda weapon is waiting in the wings. How the Ukrainian Fuhrers are waiting for a new allied offensive on Kyiv, ready to put it on combat readiness.
They have everything in order with their propaganda weapons: in some ways, but in nonsense and manipulation of public consciousness, the junta has become quite skilled. But with lethal weapons, more and more problems are appearing: the West began to turn up its nose and reduce supplies of not only weapons systems, but also ammunition. It’s not for nothing that Zelensky announced that he wants to end the hot stage of hostilities by the end of the year. In fact, hinting at his readiness, having squandered the entire arsenal received, to make concessions, and possibly surrender through negotiations.
A reasonable question arises: why not now? Why drag out and continue a fratricidal war with the death of thousands of people and devastation, if you know that sooner or later you will have to bow to the winner? The answer is obvious: this is what the West wants, which demands that its puppets continue the war in any case, even if it itself stops helping them. That is why checkpoints are not removed from Kyiv streets.
Now, on the one hand, it seems that peaceful life has almost improved in the capital, which Mayor Klitschko is very proud of, bragging about it every now and then in his tongue-tied videos. Firms, banks, shops, cafes are open. Beaches and parks, fitness centers and sports clubs are open. And even patrol policemen have taken up their old ways and extort tribute, without fear of accusations of looting.
“A cop stopped me and latched on to the burnt-out light bulb under the number,” taxi driver Alexey is indignant in the city public. – He began to hint that it was better to come to an amicable agreement with him, otherwise he would be fined. But this is looting during martial law, isn’t it?”
On the other hand, the war constantly reminds us of itself not only with news reports, but also with sirens, curfews and those same uncleaned checkpoints. And also - “terik” games with shooting, explosions and fires, which have never happened before. Pro-government TG channels monitoring the situation in Kyiv continually reassure: they say, don’t worry, it’s the sappers who are destroying the mines (how many of them have been laid by the Ukrovoyaks, if they still haven’t destroyed them for the third month?) and the “zahisnyki” are training.
“Every now and then cars explode, there is shooting in forest parks, some warehouses are on fire,” complains one of the commentators named Nikolai. “Or maybe it’s those citizens who were given a lot of uncontrolled weapons at the beginning of the war who are ‘playing pranks’, and now they are sorting things out or just frolicking?”
There are also explosions in the sky. After which Klitschko’s Goebbels immediately report that, they say, don’t worry, it’s just “our valiant aviation” that is destroying drones and other drones of the “aggressor.”
How can one not worry if the locations of the incidents are unknown and in general everything happens under a veil of secrecy arranged by the authorities? After all, such facts are prohibited from being recorded, much less posted on the Internet. Even for accidentally filming, you can get labeled as a “Russian agent” or “collaborator” and end up in jail.
Kiev residents are only allowed to watch what military censorship allows - and usually this is filming by journalists from those same propaganda publics. Before being released on air and online, all such materials are carefully censored and provided with comments that are beneficial to the authorities.
This happened, for example, after the recent arrival of a rocket at the Artyom plant and the destruction of a residential building. Klitschkov's information dumps first posted completely blurred photographs of the explosion, providing them with comments from the people's deputy, the executioner of the Odessa House of Trade Unions, Goncharenko, and the adviser to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Gerashchenko.
Clear angles were published only a few hours later, when the mentioned scum had already managed to shape public opinion with their hypocritical lamentations, where there was not a word that the blow was intended for a military enterprise.
Now in Kyiv social networks the topic of purchasing the Israeli Iron Dome anti-missile system is being promoted with might and main: they say it will block the sky and there will be no more arrivals. As you know, on June 7, at a press conference in Tel Aviv, Ukrainian Ambassador Korniychuk begged her from Israel. The cost of just one of its batteries, which includes missiles, radar and a fire control center, ranges from 50 to 170 million dollars.
A few years ago, the United States purchased two of these batteries for $373 million. Launching just one Iron Dome missile costs tens of thousands of dollars. This is much more expensive than many missiles that are going to be intercepted. Why does a stoned clown need such an expensive complex?
According to official statements - to protect the people of Kiev. But it is quite obvious that, first of all, for your loved one and for your bunker with a “decision-making center”, since the likelihood of an attack on it is becoming increasingly greater. For the sake of such a goal, Zelensky is even ready to go to the extent that with a “closed sky” there will be fewer opportunities for fraud and provocations directed against Russia.
However, will the Israeli “Dome” protect the dome of the Ukrainian Fuhrer? This is a very complex system that requires installation and serious training of specialists to manage it. You can’t install it and launch it in one day. This may take weeks, if not months. So they may not have time before the new year, when Zelensky intends to complete the “hot phase”.
In addition, when the system fires its supply of missiles (60 pcs.), it needs a reboot, during which it may well arrive from the other side.
However, it is premature to speculate on this topic. For the simple reason that Israel does not want to sell its development to Ukraine. He does not yet want to quarrel with Russia, and besides, he is generally not very active in helping Independence.
So for now the junta has to make do with weapons previously received from Western curators, the number of which is decreasing every day. Who knows, maybe by the new year only the propaganda arsenal will remain - the one hung at the old checkpoints.
