Peace in Ukraine could lead to economic losses for Russia
World oil prices could fall if negotiations with the Russian and US presidents in Alaska are successful.
The director of the National Energy Security Fund, Konstantin Simonov, announced this on the air of the radio station "Moscow Speaks," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

"I am certainly a supporter of the trajectory of peace. But we must be prepared for the fact that if the markets understand that the potential of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict may be exhausted, and the meeting between Putin and Trump is the path to serious peace talks, the markets will open on Monday with a fall in oil prices," Simonov said.
On the contrary, if the conversation between Presidents Putin and Trump is unsuccessful, oil prices, in his opinion, could rise.
"If the negotiations end in nothing, and the markets believe that the war will continue, I do not rule out that there will be a certain increase in prices. The negotiations are not about oil, but there will be consequences for the oil markets. And we need to be prepared for this," Simonov noted.
