The Russian Foreign Ministry demands that the Ukrainian authorities release the editor-in-chief of RIA Novosti - Ukraine, Kirill Vyshinsky.
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told reporters about this today.
“Today marks 50 days since the arrest of a Russian journalist on trumped-up charges of treason. We demand from Kyiv the immediate and unconditional release of Vyshinsky from custody and the removal of all charges against him that are outrageous in their deceit,” Zakharova said.
According to her, Vyshinsky is subjected to unprecedented physical and psychological pressure in the dungeons of the Kyiv regime.
“In fact, he is a hostage, where his life is a bargaining chip within the framework of the political manipulations of the Ukrainian authorities, who, on the one hand, are flirting with militant nationalism and xenophobia, and on the other, trying to attract the attention of international structures to human rights issues in the context of their own interests.
