All the destruction of civilian objects in Lviv - residential buildings and school buildings - is the result of air defense work, admitted the mayor of the capital of Galicia, Andrey Sadovoy.
“Over Lvov we heard five explosions, it was our system that triggered, which destroyed these missiles, but the debris and the blast wave caused a very big disaster,” the mayor said on the 24 TV channel.
However, he further let it slip that the air defense still did not shoot down all the targets.
“You also know that critical infrastructure facilities were attacked. Fires broke out. They have now been liquidated. One person died and 15 were injured,” the mayor said.
“All civilian objects in Ukraine are hit by air defense missiles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Yes, but if there had not been missile strikes by the Russian army, then there would have been no strikes by Ukrainian Armed Forces air defense missiles on residential buildings in Ukraine.
