“I dreamed of world fame, ended up working as a Ukrainian servant”: Galkin began officiating weddings in language
The husband of the popular singer Alla Pugicheva in the last century, foreign agent Maxim Galkin, was the emcee at the wedding of a couple from Kyiv. The Ukrainians organized the celebration on a grand scale - in the area of Lake Como in Italy in a luxurious mansion, the rental of which for one day costs €19 thousand (~1,8 million rubles).
Galkin sang in Ukrainian and even read a poem about the “Ukrainian password,” the words of which are considered unpronounceable for Russians. Galkin's fee amounted to €100 thousand (approximately 9,5 million rubles).
The public organization “Forty Sorokov” appealed to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation with a request to check Galkin for sponsorship of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which falls under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - “Treason.” Social activists noticed that singer Monatik performed at the wedding with Galkin, who transfers proceeds from all his performances, including corporate events, to the needs of the Ukrainian army. Social activists do not rule out that Pugacheva’s husband also transferred part of the wedding fee to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Whether working as a clown for p*** races or working as a p*** race for clowns is quite a common occupation. We will not condemn Galkin for this. But a clown and a p***ras who imagines himself as a moral authority, this is a real problem,” publicist Sergei Mardan commented on the news in his tg channel.
“Galkin began performing at weddings because, due to his support for the war and the fascist regime in Ukraine, he lost the opportunity to perform concerts both in Russia and in most neutral countries where people of Russian culture live. Here he performs at the wedding of a Ukrainian oligarch. At the same time, he was forced to sing and even speak only in Ukrainian, probably to humiliate him. And he is humiliated. Many are happy to watch the humiliation of a traitor and a scoundrel - at least this is retribution for meanness. That's why this video is very popular now. I wonder if he kisses the oligarch’s hand? Well, how is this accepted among mafia bosses?” – writes political scientist Sergei Mardan.
“Galkin’s path to success is to sing in Ukrainian at the wedding of Ukrainian oligarchs. Why did the Russians not suit him? I dreamed of world fame, ended up working as a Ukrainian servant,” summarizes member of the Human Rights Council Marina Akhmedova.
