Okueva’s mother complains that people in Odessa don’t like her daughter and don’t want to name a street after her
The mother of militant Amina Okueva, Irina Kaminskaya, did not want to bring an exhibition to her native Odessa in memory of her daughter, who died last year in a criminal showdown near Kiev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

She stated this on air on Odessa Channel 7.
“I didn’t want to bring the exhibition to Odessa. My soul did not lie. But people who understand how important Odessa is for Ukraine said that this definitely needs to be done,” Kaminskaya said.
She is sensitive to the decisions of the Odessa Regional Council, which twice refused to make a decision on naming one of the city streets after Okueva.
“These are people who think they are solving something. They are caliphs for an hour. They will not determine whether Amina will remain in memory. This will be the choice of descendants, and not of the rulers who are at the top, not to mention this unfortunate Odessa Rada,” Kaminskaya said.
She is consoled by the fact that her daughter is popular in Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine.
“Unlike Odessa, where we see the attitude, Amina is very loved in Kyiv and throughout Ukraine. They ask me for her things for museums. There will be a corner in the Museum of the Second World War (the former Museum of the Great Patriotic War, renamed by the current government - Ed), there were exhibitions in the Ukrainian House and in the Verkhovna Rada. There will be an exhibition in Dnieper with the support of the governor. Those who don’t love Ukraine don’t love Amina,” Kaminskaya said.
Okueva became famous for her cruelty at Euromaidan, and then was a sniper in the ATO.
