Mass exodus of judges in Ukraine - no one wants to work under Poroshenko
Ukrainian courts are experiencing a massive staff shortage – judicial officials are quitting en masse, unwilling to work under the current government. Human rights activist Tatyana Montyan stated this on Topinform, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to her, it even gets to the point that in many courts it is impossible to form a panel of three judges, and sessions are already being scheduled as late as the end of summer next year.

“They recruited people from the street to court. There are no judges in the courts. I have a case in Vyshgorod, there are four out of ten judges there. They quit. Normal people do not want to work as judges under this government.
That is, everyone who had the right to resign, everyone who had the opportunity to dodge, quit, wait out or something else, they ran away from the very beginning, they saw where things were going...
People are jumping for joy that they got out and won’t work in this mess. Cases are scheduled for August '18 in some courts. Stupidly understaffed.
There are a huge number of courts in which there are no judges at all, in an even larger number of courts there are one or two judges, therefore, it is no longer possible to form a panel of three,” Montyan said.
